How come you don't require a written notice of ‘X' days to move out?
Because we are here to be a convenience to the customer. A lot of the time customers don't know how long they need a storage unit. Example: John is paid through 12/27/07, and we require a 10-day move out notice. He informs us 2 days before his due date that he is moving out, since that is when he found out his life is changing. He must pay a full-month's rent for only 2-day's use. That is not convenient to him. Why don't you offer the $1 move-in like everyone else?
This is a special that isn't so special. It's an open invitation to anyone with $1 in their pocket to have 30-day's access and an unhurried survey of what is being stored where, who does and does not access their units very often, how frequently the management checks units and/or is actively visible on the premises. Why do you offer free use of a moving truck vs. the standard half-off first month?
Our team here believes that it is more convenient and a greater savings to you to supply the use of a moving truck than a first half-month free. Our storage units range from $25 to around $70 a month. To rent a moving truck; $85 for the truck, plus mileage. What should I know about individual door alarms?
I have often been asked why we DO NOT have Individual door alarms. Actually, they do more harm than good; more headaches for the customers as well as the police who are trying to take care of serious problems. False alarms cause tenants to not have readily accessible codes and our police officers to respond constantly. This also makes it to look like we have crimes going on every day.
